Lucca, always driven by a cosmopolitan vocation, has never been satisfied with the properly provincial dimension. Friedrich Bernhard Werner, who masterfully designed this view, chose for his part to follow this same vision, highlighting his architectural grandeur. The old appellative 'city of the hundred churches' with which Lucca was known in the past is confirmed by this typically Central European representation, in which the bell towers and towers stand proudly above any other building.
The reproduction that we offer you in this page stands out for absolute fidelity: like the original, in fact, this perspective view of Lucca was printed using an ancient manual press, on which hand-engraved copper plates were mounted from skilled craftsmen. It is therefore a unique work, printed on 100% cotton paper and mounted on a cotton canvas.
Our canvases are printed with a hand-press. For this reason, due to their completely handmade nature, it may take more than 30 days for the product to be produced. Each canvas is also available with watercolor coloring by hand.
