Caronte

The greatest inventions in history and the most beautiful works of art in the world have something in common: they required the perfect combination of knowledge and creativity. Knowledge and technique on one side, intuition and genius on the other.

According to Greek mythology, Caronte had the task of transporting the souls of the deceased across the waters of Hades, to lead them to the judgment that will determine the place where they will rest for eternity.

According to Zoffoli's philosophy, Caronte is a timeless bar globe, as eternal as the human history. The classic version, with a replica of a 16th century cartography in warm brown tones, shows all the charm of the ancient and the mythological; for this reason it is perfect for classic style furnishings. Inside the sphere, extraordinary mythological representations overlook the internal decorations. The sphere rotates completely around its meridian, in both open and closed positions.

Creativity and imagination: the bar globe was born this way, from the long experience of Italo Zoffoli who has been working wood for many years, and from an unexpected idea while sipping a glass of wine. From that day on, creativity and knowledge have become the distinctive trait of Zoffoli, who decided to name one of his most beautiful globes after the character from Greek mythology.
